I'm not saying it should or it will replace such a relationship builder, but this blog has become the space from which I have met some amazing people and life long friends. Needless to say, this year has been one of the most trying, fulfilling, and motivating years of my entire life.
All that to say, The Girl That Sings is taking a short break.
This month flow by a little quicker than I was ready for and between moving, saying goodbye, and settling in a whole new (culture shocking) city, writing for the public eye is a constant weight. And I don't want it to be. I love writing. And I love you. So it's time, as my sweet friend reminded us all last week, for a break.
For the month of August, there won't be any new posts, but all the past posts will still be up and I am refreshing some of the side bar topics to more recent posts for your reading pleasure. (Oh hello run on sentence.)
HOWEVER, September will kick off with a new layout & a blog series I'm freaking (out) excited about!
Here's what you can expect in September:
Here's what you can expect in September:
- New series: Naked: The Truth About Marriage. I'll announce the couples who will participate via Facebook and Twitter so make sure to check those out.
- More focused content around the themes of homemade entrepreneurial lifestyle (including singing, writing, and creating)
- New, easier, user friendly layout with better navigation and concise pages.
- New photos, taken by my friends at Praveen Sharma Photog.
- Call-to-action! Different ways to get involved with Love146, Milk & Honey, and Becoming Girls Conference. Three organizations that are near and dear to my heart.
Also, if you have burning questions about marriage and/or singleness you'd like our couples to answer, you can write them in, anonymously, below and we'll make sure to weave those into our content.
This is going to be fun. I will miss you guys and I'll still be reading all of your blogs! If you're new here and you haven't given me your blog URL, leave it in the comments so I can say hi~
