Sundays are for Worship: Pics & Notes

The day starts early.
Fun fact: I wear men's deodorant when singing on stage because of the heat from the lights.
You know you wanted to know that.

SETLIST: Go, Our God, Hosanna, Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus, Arms Open Wide

*My speaking notes*
“Hosanna in the highest…”

-Our heart is to set aside our own musical preferences or song choice and really seek out the things that will show us all the majesty and glory of God.

-It’s our heart to bring to you, songs that don’t list a slew of promises from us to God or talk about how much we can do for Him, but songs that respond to what He has already done for us and how He continues to shape the lives of His church.

-And so that last song, Hosanna is the same word over and over, meaning God save now. God together we acknowledge that the role of a Christian impossible to do without You. We acknowledge that our efforts are not what save us. It’s you.

-And there are times when I lose sight of that.
-I lose site of why I do what I do and become self-focused.

-But even then my God is still faithful. He is still patient. He is still good and powerful.

-And it causes me to turn my eyes both literally through the Bible and spiritually in my heart back to Jesus.

-To look full in His wonderful face

-And things of this world grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.

-So this is my prayer for you and I ask that this is your prayer for me as we sing this chorus together.

"Turn your eyes upon Jesus..."

Love,

Reader Faves.
